Ministry Overview

Because we believe that what happens at home is more important than what happens at church we have created an environment that gives parents tools to teach kids about God.

The average child will spend over 1,000 hours every year in school and will spend less than 50 hours in church.  The average parent has more than 10 times the opportunities to discuss spiritual issues in one year than a church leader does in 10 years.  The church has limited potential to impact the heart of your child. What happens at home in many ways is more important than what happens at church!

That’s why we want to make sure that you don’t miss Family KonneXion Live Service! The Family KonneXion Live Service is not just for kids. It is where kids take their parents, grandparents, uncles, aunts and mentors to learn. It’s a fast, noisy, zany, multimedia, kid-focused, parent-centered, virtue-driven, 45-minute extravaganza. Family KonneXion Live Service is the best way for parents to catch up on what we talked about at US 252 so they can keep talking about it all week.

Every week our staff is busy creating ideas and helping kids grow up the right way. But we can’t do it without you!

Here are a few things you can do to help us partner with you:

• Bring your kids to US 252. Be sure to help them attend a consistent hour, with the same group of friends and led by the same leader every week.
• Make Family KonneXion a priority. Don’t miss this window of opportunity in your child’s life to do something with them every week.  Remember, US 252 and Family KonneXion Live work together to help you impact your child’s spiritual life.
• Talk about it every week at home. Remember, no one can have more influence on your child’s faith than you can as a parent.

Staying Connected

We will be sending home GodTime and Refrigerator Door Cards. These are tools that will help you stay connected and provide opportunities to be part of your child’s spiritual development.

GodTime Cards (for Kids)

Four short devotions for children each week to focus their attention as they spend time reading the Bible and talking to God at home. Kids pick up their GodTime cards during small group time at US 252 to help them establish a lifelong habit of spending regular time with God.

Refrigerator Door Cards (for Parents)

When you drop off your kids at their US 252 groups, we’ll give you a printed piece that gives you the virtue and its definition, a monthly memory verse, the bottom line, a question to prompt discussion and a preview of what we’ll be talking about next week.

Cue Box

Suggested Donation: $10

Available at the KickTown info center, Cue Box is designed to help prompt you as a parent to know how and when to connect with your child about spiritual issues. By providing daily and weekly Cues, we are hoping to make faith an integral part of your everyday lives together.

Will The Cue Box Product Help Teach My Kid The Bible?

Absolutely! All of our teachings are based on principles found in the Bible. We focus on virtues that Jesus taught because we believe it helps us not just learn the stories found in the Bible but actually learn how to live out our faith in everyday situations.

What Makes This Resource Different From Other Similar Resources?

To our knowledge no other multi-media resource gives parents and church leaders a way to be on the same page every week as they simultaneously communicate spiritual truth to children. Instead of having church leaders and parents both trying to accomplish the same goal individually, Cue Box helps these two critical influences stay aligned in order to have maximum impact in the life of a child.

How Can I Use The Contents In The Box?

All of the pieces in this box are designed to CUE you to make the most of the everyday moments you spend with your child. Here are some of the CUES you will find inside:

• Cue #1: A DVD with one 15-minute video from studio252. Take it with you on the road or let it play while you make dinner. Whenever you watch it, this show is sure to stimulate some interesting dialogue. Afterward, you can play a music video of this month’s virtue song and watch your kids dance along.
• Cue #2: Inside Cue Box there are four collectibl cards. Each card is connected to a Bible story that demonstrates how the virtue is a reflection of, or a response to, God’s character. Ask your kid to share the fun facts they’ve discovered about each story, and you might even learn something new.

  If you want the full story, look inside for your very own Bible Story poster. There you will find a story you can read with your child at bedtime. 

• Cue #3: A mystery widget  that will remind you and your kid to put the virtue into action this month.
