FAQ
The focus of Early Childhood (birth – KG) is teaching foundational truths about God. In our elementary ages (first through sixth grade), trained team leaders facilitate learning in both large- and small-group environments so kids will leave KICK knowing God’s truth (Bible story and key verse), why that truth is important for living today (virtue) and how to apply the truth in their own life (application).
Our check-in centers open 15 minutes prior to the service and our individual.
The first weekend you attend, you will fill out a form listing all pertinent information regarding your child (name, address, phone number, allergies, if they exist). If you have a nursery or early elementary age child, he or she will be assigned a number and a name tag will be issued in his or her name and left at the check-in center.
We ask that you pick up your child as soon as the service ends so that we can release our team members when all of the children have been picked up. To uphold our safety value, we will not release a child to anyone other than the parents. We ask you to please stay behind the dismissal line and wait for your child’s name to be called.
To uphold our “safe” value, we have established a “two adult rule”. There will be at least two adults present in or near the room with the kids at all times.
All of our younger children have their diapers checked during the service. Parents of children this age are encouraged to bring an extra diaper with them (labeled with the child’s name) when they drop off their child. If a child needs to use the bathroom in ages 3 through 5, the child is allowed to use the bathroom on their own with an adult standing near the door outside of the room to offer assistance if needed. If assistance is required, the adult leaves the door to the bathroom/stall ajar in order to uphold the “two adult rule.” Kids in grades kindergarten through 6 have bathrooms in their general area. An adult stands outside the bathroom to make sure the child is safe.
Only people with proper identification are allowed to enter during the service. ID’s are checked each time someone enters.
We discourage parents to send their child to JAM or US 252 Kidz Small Groups during both services. We encourage kids to attend only one of the two hours. The times are 9:15 & 11:30 am. We want your child to connect with the same small group leader every week. For this to happen it is vital that you stay committed to attending the same JAM or US 252 small group hour.
Your child should attend the same JAM or US 252 Kidz Small Group hour every week to ensure that he or she is with the same group of friends and leader every week. Your child will have the same leader 1st- 12th grade.
FKLis a family centered, shared worship experience for parents and their kids (Early elementary through 6th grade). It is an upbeat environment where learning about faith and character is fun and relevant! The shared experience will enable families to continue to communicate, teach, and lead throughout the week.
FKL is also a great place for families to bring friends with no church background! It is a very predictable, warm, fun and welcoming environment they can appreciate! We do provide nursery and preschool environments during this time.
The Family KonneXion Live service is approximately 45 minutes long. We will begin the program at 10:35 A.M. and will conclude around 11:15 A.M.
Teens 7th grade and above attend FX Teen Small Groups. It is a small group environment created specifically for them where the thruth that is being introduced at the Family KonneXion Live Service is being taught. We want to give your whole family a jump-start in having some meaning spiritual discussions during the week.
Family KonneXion Live Service is a shared worship experience for parents and their kids while US 252 is designed specifically for children to grow in biblical truths and to process what they’ve learned in small group communities made up of their peers and a caring small group leader.
